Construction will begin soon on model homes for a 2,000-acre master-planned community near Dallas. Three builders–David Weekley Homes, Gehan Homes and Horizon Homes–will kick off Phase One of the residential portion of Gateway in Forney, Texas. With models opening early next year, the three builders will offer one- and two-story homes from 1,800 to 3,500 square feet with a variety of floor plans.
The first phase, Gateway Parks, will encompass 439 homes starting from the mid-$200s on 50-foot and 60-foot lots. It will eventually be home to 1,840 single-family residences.
“We’ve brought in a slate of quality builders at an affordable price point that buyers want,” says Alan Bain, vice president of real estate development for Gateway Holdings, the project’s developer. “Since the number of new, affordable homes available in Dallas/Fort Worth is at an all-time low, this inventory should help ease that buyer demand.”
